BeachFest being held at Barren River Lake next week

LUCAS, Ky. – Friends of Barren River Lake & Park will host BeachFest, a family-friendly event on July 27.

The event will be at the Barren River Lake State Resort Park from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Food trucks will be on site, including Sweet T’s Lemonade, Hawaiian Shaved Ice, More Than a Mouthful and Philly Willys Cheesesteak.

Kid activities and lake safety demonstrations will be conducted at 2 to 4 p.m. A life performance from Funk and Blues will begin 5 to 8 p.m.
