Town hall meetings to resume in Smiths Grove

SMITHS GROVE, Ky. – With Buc-ee’s now open, it’s a great time to come together and discuss growing pains.

The Warren Sheriff’s Office, along with the Smiths Grove Police Department, are hosting a town hall for the people of Smiths Grove and surrounding areas to talk about any and everything that ails them, most notably the traffic caused by new business. With Buc-ee’s conducting operations, interstate back ups have happened a few times.

According to Smiths Grove Police chief Jason Franks, traffic in town has not been impacted, but they have been responding to more calls of collisions and minor collisions, as expected.

Franks said everyone’s opinion is important and that he is looking to get some feedback as well as hear any concerns community members might have.

The town hall will be taking place at the Smiths Grove Fire Department at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.
