Groundbreaking of Scottsville Belmark Inc. taking place next week

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – In mid-July, Belmark Inc. will take a step closer to providing label solutions and job opportunities to the local community.
A groundbreaking ceremony on Johnson Road in Scottsville will begin at 10 a.m. on July 10. In the event of bad weather, the event will be relocated to 55 Bagwell Blvd. in Scottsville.
A 156,000 square-foot packing plant will bring a potential for success and development in Allen County. Belmark Inc. produces folding cartons, flexible packaging and pressure sensitive labels for businesses.
Belmark will provide 159 full-time jobs and $37 per hour pay, including benefits to the community, according to a prior release by Gov. Andy Beshear’s office. President and CEO of Belmark Karl Schmit will be there that Monday with a presentation. Leadership teams will also speak and give perspective to those interested in Belmark.
