Corvette Racing Prepares for 24 Hours of Le Mans

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The race of all races for cars is coming up this weekend, and a new model of Corvette is set to appear.

Le Mans is a 24-hour race in France featuring the fastest cars in the world, and Corvette’s new ZO6 GT3.R is ready to run.
The National Corvette Museum here in Bowling Green features many Corvettes that have run in Le Mans, including the C8.R from last year, which this year’s new model is based on.
Bryan Gable from the museum went into further detail about the history of Corvette racing.
“Since we have a racing Corvette now that’s built to those specifications, that means there’s a lot more teams and drivers that can go take the Corvette, prepare it for racing, and compete in different events all over the world,” Gable said. “Since we have a car now that conforms to those specifications within the GT3 group, it essentially creates a lot more opportunities to get Corvettes on track, winning races all over the world.”
