Duncan Hines Downtown Kick Off

BOWLING GREEN, Ky – Bowling Green native Duncan Hines will be celebrated of his influence through upcoming events.

On June 7th, the downtown fountain square will have a vintage car cruise starting at 4:00 p.m. There will be sidewalk sales and free family friendly activities.

Following the car cruise, the Uncle Duncan’s Summer Stroll Parade will take place at 5:00 p.m. in Circus Square Park. It will begin at 601 College St., in front of SKYPAC to Fountain Square, to State St., to Circus Square, then SOKY Marketplace. Everyone is welcomed to participate.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., there will be two simultaneous events to end the night.

At no cost, there will be a Party on the Plaza at the Bowling Green Hotrods Ballpark and the Community Ice Cream Social in SOKY’s Marketplace. The social will have complimentary ice cream and live music of Natasha Nelly as Dolly Parton.

The Party on the Plaza will have drinks, yard games and a cakewalk available until 8:00 p.m. June 7th is part of week-long events celebrated not only Duncan Hines’ cake mix but the impact he’s had on southern culture.
