$34 million loan to assist with broadband access in several south central Kentucky counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A substantial loan will help improve telecommunications for thousands of Logan Telephone Cooperative customers in three area counties.

South central Kentucky Congressmen Brett Guthrie and James Comer announced Friday that the cooperative will be receiving a loan of $34,453,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development Program.

The investment will be used to upgrade a fiber-to-the-home telecommunications system within parts of Butler, Logan and Muhlenberg counties.

According to guthrie, one of his top priorities as a member of the House of Representatives is expanding rural broadband access across his district.
