Frosty Freeze opens location in BG

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The famous Franklin restaurant Frosty Freeze has opened a new location in Bowling Green across from the bridge at Mitch McConnell Park.

The location is currently serving a reduced menu as compared to the parent location but is stretching $5 much further than it usually goes for these days.

Owner Todd Utley said it felt like the right time to expand the brand into the newly rezoned area as well as bring a restaurant into an area that has little else to eat.

“Frosty Freeze was established in 1956, and I’m proud to be part of the third owners of it and have been long term family members.
As part of my team here. And it was really a big passion of theirs. You know, they were passionate about growing the brand and knew that property freeze had something to offer Bowling Green. So some of my team in Franklin really pushed this to happen because they want to be a part of it as well,” Utley said.

The prospect for future development in the area was very attractive to the restaurant which is now located on a very busy street and only roughly a mile from Cherry Hall. With future plans to bring a full shift schedule, extending store hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. all the way to 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
