Currently, crews are working to repair power outages in multiple counties after a severe thunderstorm.

According to Warren RECC, strong winds resulted in broken poles and downed power lines throughout its territory.

Shortly before 11 a.m. Monday, Warren RECC’s website showed about 5,400 members of Edmonson County remain without power. Butler County continues to have about 1,100 members without power. In Hart County, 77 members are without power.

As of 10:30 a.m., Warren RECC says approximately 16,300 total members were without power. At the height of the storm, around 27,000 members experienced power outages.

Crews worked through the night to assess damage and begin the restoration process. They will continue to work until all outages are restored.

Based on Warren RECC’s assessment, restoration of power may take multiple days.
