$7 million expansion project planned for Bowling Green company

A nearly $7 million dollar expansion project is in the works for an Austrian company’s Bowling Green facility.

On Thursday, Alpla Inc. announced plans to purchase 100,000 additional square feet for a warehouse and new equipment. The investment will create 24 new jobs.

Alpla employs over 19,000 people worldwide. The company manufactures plastic packaging for a number of industries, such as household goods, personal care and food and beverage.  

Alpla’s Bowling Green facility is located in the Kentucky Transpark.
