Park City continues trek to gain spot on Kentucky’s Bourbon Trail

PARK CITY, Ky.- The march to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail is moving forward in Park City.

The Park City Commission voted to give Mayor Larry Poteet permission to negotiate a price with the owner of 18 acres of land dedicated to attract a distillery.

The location of that land is not being disclosed pending land negotiations.

Last month, the Barren County Economic Authority awarded the city a $110,000 grant.

Those who spend a lot of time in Park City said a distillery would do wonders for other businesses in the area.

“It’ll bring in trade, customers, everything. Anything we have brings business to the city. We need all we can get,” Park City visitor Philip Crews said.
