Medical Center receives stroke care quality achievement award
The Medical Center at Bowling Green received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award that recognizes the hospital’s commitment to providing care to stroke patients.
The award is given to hospitals that meet specific quality measures in the diagnosis and treatment of stroke patients. Those measures are designed to speed recovery and reduce death and disability from strokes.
Stroke is the fifth leading cause of death in the United States.
