MLK Week recapped
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 16, events are popping off all weekend in Bowling Green.
The MLK Holiday Planning Committee partnered with local business owner D.C. Clement to have legendary gospel singer Marvin Sapp come to town and grace the SkyPAC stage.
Unfortunately Bishop Sapp could only be here Friday, January 13 but that doesn’t mean the festivities are over. On Monday, January 16, the committee will hold its actual breakfast at Parker Bennett Curry Elementary School starting at 7:30 a.m. Following the breakfast, there will be a March downtown at 10 a.m. then guest speakers at 11 a.m. at State Street Baptist Church.
