Small Town Christmas in Franklin
FRANKLIN, Ky. – In Franklin, a long time tradition is once again on the rise. Small Town Christmas starts Saturday morning.
In an interview with News 40, Simpson County Judge-Executive Mason Barnes said the downtown event has really picked up over the last three years. 2020 is when the Franklin-Simpson Renaissance put up the community tree, Barnes said it was an effort to help bring the community together after being apart so much in the first year of the pandemic.
The Christmas parade starts at 4 p.m. but events take place both before and after, including live music performances and a Christmas bizarre where local vendors set up shop.
Franklin’s square will be all aglow Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. To see the flyer for the event with a complete rundown of the day, you can check out the Franklin-Simpson Renaissance Facebook page.
