Locals voice frustrations over sold-out Taylor Swift tickets
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Swifties all around the country are voicing their frustrations over acquiring tickets to her upcoming show.
The Ticketmaster sale for her upcoming concert held fans in a ‘queue’ or waitlist for hours upon hours. A local fan, Katelynn Garry, says the site kept crashing. A friend got into the site six hours later, only for the tickets to be completely sold out.
The next day, there was another sale through Capital One…she didn’t get tickets again. Then the sale today was completely canceled due to the large volume of people wanting tickets.
Now, there’s tickets for the concert listed on stubhub…some as much as $76,000.
“The pure frustration of going and seeing them sold again. So it was like fans aren’t buying these. If it was a fan, 100% I would be like I’ve seen Taylor twice go right ahead. But what’s upset me the most is it’s not fans, it’s all these people who want to sell tickets for thousands of dollars,” said Garry.
Garry said she will wait for the prices to drop as the concerts draw closer…the cheapest tickets she can find right now are $540 for an obstructed view.
