Music venue to host second edition of indoor, outdoor festival in September

Twice a year, Tidball’s hosts one of the area’s most unique music festivals. Musicians perform on two stages throughout the event – an outdoor stage until the sun goes down and the famed indoor Tidball’s stage. The events celebrate the burgeoning South Central Kentucky music scene and provide support and enhance awareness of local nonprofits.

Event organizers are taking a different approach to this fall’s schedule. While featuring some of South Central Kentucky’s top acts, the lineup will also feature several area newcomers and regional acts.

"We’ve kinda got outside our comfort zone with wanting to reach out to larger regional acts than predominantly all local and a lot of first timers (Kiss Kiss Bang, Mills, Park Mobb, Johnny Conqueroo and more). We are ecstatic about welcoming Lilly Hiatt too," said Tidball’s co-owner Brian Jarvis. 

Passion for music and community are the driving force behind the event. Beyond music, the event will also feature local arts, artists, restaurants and the chance for festival goers to join the fight against childhood cancer. The opportunity to bring the community together is something that Tidball’s and the performing artists don’t take lightly.

"It gets bigger every year. The musicians expect it and look forward to it. They’re the lifeblood of the event, not us. I think its a release and a showcase for them at the same time. Our patrons and the city come to together for the love of music. And in that bond, we can fight cancer while showcasing musicians, local arts, and artists. We all need that," said Jarvis.

Tidball’s Live on the Lot 2 will take place from September 13 through September 15. The three-day schedule can be found below.
