Hope House breaks ground on Ministry Center, Program Living for Women facility
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hope House in Bowling Green broke ground Friday morning on a three-phase project.
It will not only expand their operating space but give women on the streets an escape to restore their lives.
Phase one is the Ministry Center and Program Living for Women facility on a four-acre lot.
The Program Living for Women facility will include 27 more beds women in need can use.
The Ministry Center will be the new site of operations from where it is currently on 10th and Clay street.
The Program Living for Women facility will allow women to live on their own for up to 12 months.
With Dishman McGinnis down the road, they’ll also be able to safely walk their kids to school if necessary.
Phase two is one to three bedroom apartments for women after they complete the 12-month program.
Phase three will be even more apartments if things go as planned.
These residences will serve as safe havens for women in need of an escape from certain situations.
Bryan Lewis, the Executive Director, says women dealing with drug addiction, human trafficking and more can find refuge in their new facilities.
Lewis also says all three phases should be complete in 12 to 18 months.
The location of the new site is at 461 Glen Lily Road.
