Warren Water District is celebrating National Drinking Water Week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Water District is recognizing one of the world’s most vital resources.
That vital resource is our clean drinking water.
This week they’re encouraging the community to protect our local source of it.
Warren Water kicked off this year’s National Drinking Water Week with an invitation to “protect the source.”
Also, the invitation is not just for those throughout Warren County but across the region as well.
Warren water is not alone in recognizing the importance of protecting our water.
The American Water Works Association and water utilities nationwide recognize the vital role drinking water plays in daily lives.
The focus lies on ways in which water consumers can take responsibility in caring for their tap water and protecting its source.
Alex Renick with Warren Water says there are a variety of ways the community can keep our water source clean.
Renick suggests keeping waterways clear of trash and debris, conserving tap water and more.
Warren Water is a wholesale purchaser of BGMU water.
BGMU’s Water Treatment Plant cleans and draws our water from the Barren River.
Furthermore, Warren Water uses a pump station to distribute their water to the community.
