Man robs US Bank on Lain Avenue

Bowling Green Police were called to a bank robbery at US Bank on Lain Avenue at 3:37 p.m. Wednesday after a man walked into the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The teller complied and the man walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount cash, Bowling Green Police Department spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said.

“He did not display a weapon but we’re not going to assume he did not have one,” Ward said.

No customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

The robber is a white man with brown hair and a brown close-cut beard and mustache. He was wearing glasses, khaki pants and an olive green collared shirt with a white T-shirt underneath.

No arrests had been made as of 5:12 p.m. Wednesday.
