WNKY News 40 weather forecast

Good Wednesday Evening! Another cold day across South Central Kentucky after we started our day with temperatures that might actually have felt a little painful when the air hit your skin! We dropped down into the teens for morning lows…we should only fall to the low 20s this time of year!

Another cold night on the way for us, with thermometers once again registering in the teens while skies stay dry.

We’ll rise into the 40s on Thursday but a cold front arrives to bring those temperatures down again and also brings a chance of snow showers to the area. Potential accumulations don’t look that impressive at this point…only a dusting to a half-inch for most of us.

The system that brings us snow chances actually intensifies after it moves into the Atlantic Seaboard, but by then we’ll have high pressure dominating our weather.

After a cool weekend, we’ll see temperatures rise back into the upper 50s by early next week. And after the cold front moves through, we’ll stay dry until another system arrives Tuesday.
