1 arrested, over 30 cited during Warren Co. checkpoint over Labor Day weekend

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says its Labor Day weekend traffic safety checkpoint resulted in one arrest and over 30 citations.

According to the sheriff’s office, the goal of the checkpoints is to discourage illegal driving practices that could lead to collisions.

During the holiday weekend, deputies conducted the checkpoint at 1876 Plano Road in coordination with the Plano Volunteer Fire Department.

As a result, deputies say one person, identified as 32-year-old Thaddeus Beck of Bowling Green, was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence, possession of marijuana, failure to maintain insurance/security and operating on a suspended license.

In addition, authorities say 32 citations were issued for charges of no/expired registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, no operators license, no registration receipt, license to be in possession, excessive window tint and failure to wear a seatbelt.
