FRANKLIN, Ky. – Simpson County is offering a small town experience this Saturday.

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, the Downtown Square in Franklin will host several events between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

If you want to get an early start, events will kick off with a 4-H holiday craft bazaar from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Back downtown, visits with Santa will last from 1 to 3 p.m., while free train rides for kids ages 10 and under will last from 1 until 4 p.m.

Beginning at 4 p.m., the town will host a Christmas parade for all to enjoy.

At 5:30 p.m., the town will hold a community tree lighting.

In addition, the whole family can enjoy s’more stations between 3 and 6 p.m. S’more kits will be available to buy with proceeds going to Project Graduation.

If music is your way of celebrating, the Arts Council annual Christmas concert will start their performance at 6 p.m. at Goodnight Auditorium.

Various performances will also add to the entertainment that night, including Brass in Pocket, Allstarz Dance Academy, Simpson Elementary chorus and F-S Middle School chorus.
