Woman injured following car crash on Pascoe Boulevard

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Police Department responded to a car accident Wednesday night on Pascoe Boulevard that resulted in one person sustaining injuries.

According to a report by BGPD, authorities responded around 7:24 p.m. to a report of a single-vehicle collision near 376 Pascoe Blvd. and located a car about 20 yards off the right shoulder of the roadway.

Upon making contact with the vehicle, officials discovered 22-year-old Janasia Talley unconscious in the passenger seat, but breathing, stated the report.

Authorities stated Talley was removed from the scene by EMS for possible critical injury and flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to authorities, a witness said Talley was driving east on Pascoe Boulevard toward Scottsville Road and turned a corner at a high rate of speed, and the driver lost control. The witness further said the driver went into the opposite lane of travel, overcorrected back into her lane, left the roadway and struck a BGMU electrical box, according to the report.

The report further stated a second witness estimated the speed of the car to be at least 80 miles per hour before the witness heard the vehicle crash. Authorities stated an electrical fire took place following the accident.

There are no updates on the condition of Talley at this time. In addition, no other injuries were reported.

Authorities stated they did not observe drug or alcohol use as a contributing factor.
