Woman charged after wreck in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – Glasgow police arrested a woman Thursday morning after a vehicle wreck.

Police say they responded around 3:12 a.m. to the intersection of North Race Street and West Front Street for a collision.

Stephanie Stephenson, 42, was identified as the driver.

Field sobriety tests indicated signs of impairment, according to a uniform citation.

Stephenson was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital, where police say they discovered she possessed a clear plastic bag of what they believed to be methamphetamine.

Police say she refused to provide a blood sample.

Stephenson was medically cleared and taken to the Barren County Detention Center. She faces charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance, second offense.
