Woman charged after resisting arrest in Morgantown, police say

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – A Morgantown woman is facing several charges after police say she resisted arrest during a traffic stop Wednesday.
According to the office of Morgantown police chief Giles Taylor, officers received reports of a suspicious vehicle at the Butler County Extension Office, believing the driver may be intoxicated.
Officers responded and spoke to the driver, identified as Lisa Neighbors of Morgantown.
Police say they could smell the odor of marijuana coming from Neighbors’ vehicle and began a search. However, police say Neighbors attacked the officer, grabbing his shirt collar to try to stop the search.
Police say a taser was deployed, and Neighbors was arrested.
Neighbors faces charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and third-degree assault of a police officer.
