Woman celebrates birth of her Leap Day baby
GLASGOW, Ky. – Kids love their birthdays and feeling special, but can you imagine how special your birthday would be if it only came every four years?
That is exactly the case a little girl born on Feb. 29, or Leap Day, at T.J. Sampson Community Hospital.
One mom was excited to share the story of her precious little girl with WNKY.
Tiyana Frye was born at 9.3 pounds and is 21 inches long.
Her mom, Tiffany Frye, is no stranger to a holiday baby.
“My little boy was born on Saint Patrick’s Day, so I’ve got a Saint Paddy’s Day baby and a Leap Year baby now,” said Tiffany.
Baby Tiyana was set to go home to her big brother, big sister, and Daddy on Monday afternoon.
“I think she will definitely be proud of her birthday because she gets something special that everybody else doesn’t have, you know? So that’s another exciting thing. Which, I expect her to be special anyway,” said Tiffany.
