WKU Player of the Week: men’s basketball forward Babacar Faye

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Today’s WKU Player of the Week is  WKU men’s basketball senior forward Babacar Faye.

Transferring to WKU before the 2023-24 season, Faye has seen plenty of success during his collegiate career on the Hill, but this season he has stepped up in big ways for the Hilltoppers.

The senior from West Africa is currently leading WKU in scoring and on the boards this year, averaging 15.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Faye led the charge for the Tops this past Saturday when the team picked up its first road win of the year at Evansville, while notching his first double-double of the season against the Purples Aces.

Head coach Hank Plona has spoken highly of Faye and the strengths he has brought to this year’s roster, as he continues to be a strong asset on the court for the Hilltoppers this year.
