WKU Player of the Week: Hilltopper tennis senior Sofia Blanco

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week’s WKU Athletics Player of the Week honor goes to Hilltopper Tennis senior Sofia Blanco, following a 3-0 week that accomplished program history.

After winning her doubles matchup against UT Southern, Blanco tallied her 100th combined career win, between both singles and doubles matches, which makes her the first ever player in WKU history to eclipse the century mark.

Following her 100th win, Blanco would pick up a singles victory against UT Southern and a singles victory against UTEP, pushing her total to 102.

Next, she’ll look to add more to that number as the team is in action on Thursday, facing off with St. Thomas at Kereiakes Park.
