WKU Player of the Week: Hilltopper infielder Austin Haller

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It is time for our final WKU Athletics Player of the Week for the 2024-2025 season, and this week’s honor goes to Hilltopper baseball second baseman Austin Haller.

Haller had his best outing of the year at New Mexico State over the weekend, hitting a home run in three consecutive games.

Not only was it the senior’s first homer as a Hilltopper, but the runs he contributed in Las Cruces helped lead WKU to a 3-0 sweep over the Aggies, which resulted in officially tying a program record of 41 regular season wins.

Haller has spent the past two seasons on the Hill and has recorded 32 hits for the Tops this year on a .299 batting average.

The team wraps up their regular season at home this weekend in a three-game series with Jacksonville State, where the Tops will look to grab win number 42 and set a new program record.
