WKU Football Holds Future Topper Youth Camp
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The WKU football program held day two of its Future Topper Youth Camp on Tuesday afternoon.
Kids from grades 1-8 were able to get some reps in, as well as participate in a little scrimmage competition action.
The camp wraps up on Wednesday, but after today’s session, one of the Hilltopper coaches shared what he hopes the young kids are getting out of the camp.
“It’s really important to come out here, have these guys learn, girls as well, learn something about the game of football, different techniques, different drills and stuff, real simple stuff that we utilize on a daily basis with even our team,” Camp Coordinator Garrett Schwettman said. “But also, just how to compete, you know, how to battle each other in competition. I think that’s really important.”
