WKU Athletics Player of the Week: Kaylee Cox
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The latest WKU Athletics Player of the Week honor goes to Hilltopper volleyball senior outside hitter Kaylee Cox!
Cox stepped up for her team over the weekend when they visited UTEP, helping earn another pair of wins to remain unbeaten in Conference USA play this season.
Against a Miners team that entered the weekend with just two losses on the year, Cox was able to rack up 39 kills on a .258 hitting percentage, marking the highest total she’s seen in a conference series so far this year.
Her efforts were awarded not just with a pair of road victories, but also with the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week award.
In her second season on the Hill, Cox has stepped into that offensive leader role that Paige Briggs left behind, and she’s excelled for the program, leading her squad in kills and points in 2024.
With wins last Friday and Saturday, WKU Volleyball now has won 86 consecutive regular season matches, and they will look to extend that streak in Diddle Arena this weekend with a pair of contests with the New Mexico State Aggies.
