WKU Athletics Player of the Week: Alivia Skidmore
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – This week’s WKU Athletics Player of the Week goes to Hilltopper volleyball outside hitter Alivia Skidmore!
Skidmore earns the honor after totaling 27 kills and three service aces with a .217 hitting percentage when the Lady Tops swept the Liberty Flames to win the Conference USA regular season title last week.
The freshman has put up an outstanding performance in her first collegiate year on the Hill, finishing the regular season second on the team in kills with 295 and aiding the Tops in extending its conference play win streak to 92, the fifth longest streak in NCAA history.
A Kentucky native from Florence, Skidmore has earned three freshman of the week honors this season from the league and will next take the court with her team as they compete in the first round of the C-USA tournament this Friday at UTEP with the FIU Lady Owls.
