Winter storm death toll now 16, includes Hart County man

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Gov. Andy Beshear has reported an additional winter-storm-related death on Monday.

According to a social media post Monday morning, a 75-year-old woman from Adair County is the 16th recent weather-related death in Kentucky.

In addition, Beshear announced Saturday that a 64-year-old man in Hart County and a 73-year-old man in Ballard County died as a result of the winter storm.

On Saturday afternoon, Beshear announced the death of a 66-year-old in Daviess County.

On Monday morning, Hart County coroner Anthony Roberts confirmed the Hart County man has been identified as 64-year-old Ricky Turner. Additional identities have not been released at this time.

The winter storm or weather-related accidents have caused 15 deaths in Kentucky.
