What’s open on New Year’s Day?

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – If you plan to head out on New Year’s Day, here is a list of what you may find open or closed in the local area:
Grocery stores, shopping and pharmacies
- Kroger: Open during your local store’s normal hours
- Walmart: Open until 11 p.m.
- Target: Bowling Green’s store will be open until 10 p.m. You can also check by location here. \
- Walgreens: While Walgreens pharmacies are closed today, many stores remain open with varying hours. You can check by location here. Store locations in Edmonton and Munfordville are closed today.
- Meijer: Open until midnight.
- Greenwood Mall: Open until 7 p.m., according to the mall’s website.
- CVS Pharmacy: Stores and pharmacies are open, with times available by location here.
- ALDI: Closed.
Banks and post offices are also closed on New Year’s Day.
Are restaurants open?
Some restaurants chains will be open but may be operating on limited hours.
- Chick-fil-A: Open with limited operating hours, according to the restaurant’s website.
