Warren RECC provides update on power outage progress

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation provided an update Monday evening as it continues to restore power for its members.

As of 4:30 p.m., Warren RECC says it has about 4,800 members still without power. That’s after 13,900 were recorded last night. At this time, the company says it has 260 separate outages and 71 broken poles.

Contract crews have continued to arrive since the nighttime hours, providing additional help.

Warren RECC says a total of 29 crews from Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky are helping them to restore power to the local area.

Warren RECC says this will help them to cover ground more quickly.

Crews say they are working around the clock to get power restored. However, members should be aware a restoration of this size will take time and could be a multi-day restoration.

Please avoid work areas to make those areas as safe as possible and avoid downed lines.
