Warren County Sheriff’s Office Shows Off New Vr Training

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office unveiled what they call their biggest and best purchase in recent years, a virtual reality simulator.

WCSO had a media day where local journalists were able to both try on the headset and ask some questions. The office was glad to show off the state of the art system that had near endless scenarios and customizations. The simulator can help officers navigate tough situations such as a bridge jumping or active shooter and learn how to better communicate with the public.

Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said this is going to save agencies a great deal of time and money by allowing officers to walk through and replay different things that occur while on the beat.

The training is sure to revolutionize local law enforcement in Southcentral Kentucky thanks to the help of several agencies to help chip in and buy the two systems the area will now be able to utilize.
