Warren County Sheriff’s Office receives new speed trailer

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office will be able to enhance their ability to encourage safe driving after having received a donation from Toyota of Bowling Green.

The car dealership donated $10,000 to the sheriff’s office to put toward anything they needed, so they bought another speed trailer.

This comes after a man damaged the sheriff’s offices one and only speed trailer back in 2019.

Since then, they have replaced the damaged one and now have two, thanks to the dealership.

“It’s an honor to be able to have the means to be able to donate to the community and take care of the community. And obviously, we want to thank the sheriff’s department and all of the emergency responders for all of the work that they do. I know they are unsung heroes, and we just want to show our appreciation in any way we can,” said Dave Stumbo, owner of Toyota in Bowling Green.

The speed trailer cost right around $9300 and, with the leftover $700, the department purchased a handheld speed detector gun.
