Warren County sheriff speaks on alleged murder case

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office has now arrested a person of interest in the case of a crash on Morgantown Road, one that struck first responders as unusual.

On Dec. 22, a passing motorist called the sheriff’s office at 2:59 a.m. reporting a vehicle that had struck a utility pole. Upon arrival, the man behind the wheel was dead and had sustained injuries that were not consistent with a collision.

Warren County sheriff Brett Hightower told News 40 he is aware of the speculation on social media about the case and possible connections between the deceased and the person of interest but would like the public to know that his office will be working diligently on this case during the coming weeks.
