Warren County Public Schools needing additional turkey donations for families

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Public School system is always working hard to make sure every child has what they need to succeed, and that doesn’t stop during the holidays.

WCPS is currently holding a frozen turkey and chicken drive to make sure that all WCPS families can celebrate the holidays. Right now, they have nearly 100 turkeys and chickens but need another 100 to make sure they have enough for the families that need them. One WCPS official says the community never fails to provide for others less fortunate than themselves.

“We appreciate how much the community has come out and always supported us in doing things like this. It means so much to be in a community that always takes care of their own” said Ben Kirtley, director of family services and youth Services for Warren County Public Schools.

The Donation Drive is still happening and continues through Wednesday, Nov. 20. You can drop off frozen turkeys and chickens at the front desk of the WCPS Central Office located at 303 Lovers Lane.
