BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Public Library’s mission to improve the quality of life in Bowling Green takes another big step.

The library will assume stewardship of SoKY Marketplace in Downtown Bowling Green starting on January 1, 2025, according to a media release on Thursday.

Assuming stewardship will allow the Warren County Public Library to expand the community’s access to vital resources, educational opportunities, and services.

The library says the addition of SoKY Marketplace will allow it to increase its ability to address food insecurity and economic disparities in Warren County.

The Farmer’s Market and SoKY Ice will continue to operate seasonally. The library will be responsible for providing the venue as a rental space for public and private events.

“SOKY Marketplace will still be SOKY Marketplace. We are excited to take it on and continue the groundwork they have laid being a community space for Bowling Green,” says Laura Beth Fox-Ezell, Executive Program Manager at Warren County Public Library.

The library will also be managing reservations and rental fees for “The Fringe,” a new food truck park located next to Stadium Park Plaza. The park is currently under construction.

The SoKY Marketplace will continue to receive funding from Warren County.
