UPDATE: Victim’s name released in fatal motorcycle collision in Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Authorities say one person is dead following a collision involving a motorcycle off of Highway 185 on Saturday.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded at 11:21 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 to Highway 185 at Lodge Hall Road for a vehicle versus motorcycle collision.
Deputies say through investigation, they determined a motorcycle was heading south on Highway 185 when a pickup truck with a utility trailer tried to turn north from Lodge Hall Road onto Highway 185.
According to authorities, the motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the pickup truck.
The operator of the motorcycle was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green for treatment of serious injuries. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Kevin Cast, 53, of Brownsville, was taken to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The collision reconstruction team and UAS team also responded to the scene for the investigation.
Deputies say next of kin was notified, as well as the chaplain team.
The Richardsville Fire Department and Bowling Green Medical Center EMS assisted at the scene.
