Warming shelters available now in Warren, Barren and Allen counties

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warming shelters are currently available in Bowling Green, Cave City and Scottsville.

In Warren County, the following shelters are available:

  • Salvation Army

    This location is not offering free rooms – however, they are offering their lobby to stranded travelers who need a warm place for a short period of time.

Barren County’s warming center can be found at the Hiseville Volunteer Fire Department’s main station at 112 West Hiseville Main Street in Cave City. Glasgow-Barren County Emergency Management says the front door is unlocked and the facility is staffed.

Finally, if you live in Scottsville and need a warm place to stay tonight, a shelter will operate at the Rescue Squad building located on the corner of Maxwell Drive and Virginia Drive. It will be open from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Transportation for the Scottsville location will also be provided for those without any available, according to Scottsville police. To schedule a pickup, contact 615-756-1537. Pickups will be completed from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight.
