Warming centers for the unhoused

Bowling Green and Glasgow, Kentucky are offering warming center options for those without housing or heat next week.
Temperatures are expected to reach below-zero with a wind chill factor, which can pose a dangerous risk.
The City of Bowling Green shared several locations that will be open to the public, all from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on designated days:
- State Street United Methodist Church at 1101 State St., which will only be open on Monday, Jan. 15.
- The Capitol Theatre at 416 E. Main St. on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
- Christ Episcopal Church will be open at 1215 State St. on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
The city says breakfast and lunch will be provided at the above locations, as well as transportation to Room in the Inn and the Salvation Army overnight shelter.
A warming shelter will also be available in Glasgow at 603 West Main St., where you can enter the front, right door. This is open anytime, 24 hours a day for those needing a warm place to stay.
