Wanted man arrested in relation to burglary, assault in Logan Co.

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – A wanted Scottsville man has been apprehended in connection with a burglary and assault in Logan County.
According to jail records, John Mallory, 36, of Scottsville was arrested on Dec. 14.
A complaint warrant states Mallory was wanted in relation to an incident on Dec. 8, when the Logan County Sheriff’s Office states it responded to a disturbance at a Lewisburg residence.
Deputies say dispatch advised a physical altercation took place, were a firearm discharged.
On scene, deputies say the victim stated he had told Mallory just a few weeks prior to not return to the residence after Mallory allegedly assaulted a female victim there.
The male victim further stated Mallory had returned, refused to leave and and disarmed him of a shotgun during the altercation. During this time, the firearm discharged, authorities say, but no one was struck.
The sheriff’s office says it entered the residence and located a shotgun in the back room, along with holes in the wall nearby.
During the incident a few weeks prior, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office says a victim stated Mallory “entered the home without permission,” assaulted the female victim and destroyed a TV and TV stand.
Mallory is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment – discharge of firearm, two counts of first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree assault (domestic violence) minor injury and obstructing emergency responder violations, first offense.
He remains at the Logan County Jail on a $40,000 cash bond.
