Victim released from hospital after shooting near Clay Street

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – More details have been released surrounding a shooting near Clay Street on Wednesday night.
The Bowling Green Police Department stated in a report that it got a call around 8:38 p.m. about shots fired near Hummingbird Apartments at 1367 Clay Street. While heading to the scene, police say they were informed a male had been shot.
According to the report, officers located the victim, identified as Kaelin Yarbrough, on the living room floor of a residence on Clay Street.
Police say they provided aid to Yarbrough.
The report states he told officers he had been in an alleyway near West 15th Avenue and Stubbins Street when a male shot him. Yarbrough stated he then ran to the residence, where police were contacted.
Yarbrough was taken to The Medical Center at Bowling Green and has since been released, police say.
This is an ongoing investigation.
