Valentines Day made special for patients at Norton Children’s Hospital

Bowling Green, KY.- Norton Children’s Hospital is partnering with Send-A-Friend for their annual Valentine’s Day Campaign. Over the past 4 years, children in the hospital have felt this love on Valentine’s Day by receiving a stuffed animal and valentine.

This program has nationwide support and a very far reach. Last year the hospital put over 1,700 stuffed animals and 10,000 Valentine’s Day cards into the hands of patients.

Development manager for Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation, Lena Iwu, says “It’s a really fun opportunity for the patients to get something special to brighten their day. You know, a lot of our families are in the hospital during some really dark times, so it’s just a great opportunity to brighten their day.”
