UPDATE: Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle in Hardin County

COLESBURG, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a collision that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to a release, the collision happened on Interstate 65 southbound near the 100-mile marker in Hardin County.
KSP received a call at approximately 4:30 am (EDT) regarding a pedestrian in the roadway who was struck by an SUV driven by a person from Alabama.
The pedestrian has been identified as 45-year-old Carl Ollis of Elizabethtown. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
KSP says I-65 southbound was closed for approximately four hours for investigation and collision reconstruction.
The investigation is ongoing.
