UPDATE: Man charged with murder in death of wife on Blue Bell Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man is facing a murder charge in relation to the death of his wife on Blue Bell Way on Tuesday evening.

Deputies say 76-year-old Terry Ernest Thomas has been arrested on one count of murder and receiving stolen property (firearm) following the death of his wife, Mary Thomas.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it received a call around 6:45 p.m. from a person out of state reporting a domestic violence incident on Blue Bell Way that may involve a gun.

Sheriff’s deputies say that once they arrived in the 1000 block of Blue Bell Way, they found Cathy Thomas dead inside of the home.

Kentucky State Police trooper Katan Parker confirmed Tuesday evening that a woman had been shot off of Blue Bell Way. Further details have not been released at this time.

Terry Thomas remains at the Warren County Detention Center as of Wednesday morning with no bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
