UPDATE: Boil water notice still in effect in multiple counties

The Edmonson County Water District stated Sunday that a boil water notice is still in effect for all customers off of the Wax Water Treatment Plant.

This notice covers areas beginning in Grayson County at the intersection of Highway 259 and Vanmeter School Road, including all of the Peonia and Wax area. Additional affected areas include Hart County beginning at the Edmonson and Hart County line on Gap Hill Road and beginning at 569 Cherry Springs Road, including all customers from those points, which include Cub Run, Big Windy, Kessinger, Priceville and Raider Hollow.

The district says it is working around the clock to fix the issue.

At this time, the district’s Facebook page states the water conservation advisory has been lifted as of Sunday.
