United Way, Warren County celebrate National 211 Day

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Local leaders celebrated National 211 Day with a proclamation at Bowling Green City Hall Wednesday afternoon.
According to a release, the City of Bowling Green, United Way of Southern Kentucky and community partners gathered for a proclamation officially recognizing Feb. 11 as National 211 Day in Bowling Green and Warren County.
The proclamation was issued to spotlight the contributions and essential services 211 provides to the community.
The release states that the free service connects residents across the 10-county Barren River Area Development District with vital resources, including housing assistance, food, utility support, and more.
211 contact specialists spent 109,196 minutes helping 11,276 individuals who contacted them by text, phone call or other means in 2025, according to the release.
United Way of Southern Kentucky encourages the community to discuss 211 and its impact throughout the region.
