United Way set to host Day of Caring on July 23rd

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – United Way’s annual Day of Caring is back, and it’s right around the corner here in Southern Kentucky.

On July 23rd, different groups and nonprofits from across Warren County and all of South Central Kentucky will take part in over 65 projects to help the community.

The Day of Caring has been going on for 15 years now, and staff with United Way of Southern Kentucky say one thing they always see consistently stay the same is the love volunteers have for their communities.

“The most important part of Day of Caring is our volunteers. Without gathering all of those volunteers each year, these projects would go undone with the various nonprofits in our area,” community engagement manager Erin Caudill says.

One project still up for grabs is with the Union of Refugees and Immigrants for Development in America, or URIDA, who are asking for help with a hygiene supply drive.
